Late summer has seen countless pollinators in my garden in mid-Worle. Here's a greenbottle fly, a good pollinator despite its reputation, a sunny-looking hoverfly whose latin name is helophilus pendulus which means dangling marsh lover, and a common carder bee. It shows how anyone can encourage wildlife to their garden with a few pollen-rich plants.
