by Julie Hitchens from Weston-Super-Mare GB on 09 Nov 2018

This morning marked the start of the fourth series of Big Worle wildlife walks led by local naturalist, conservationist and broadcaster Chris Sperring, seen here second from right talking to Ed McKay, the NSC officer for parks and open spaces, at Castle Batch. Community and council will work together to encourage local wildlife starting with an area on the East side of Castle Batch to be left to grow wild and uncut for a year to record the natural succession that occurs here.
